Disney releases official synopsis of ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’
The upcoming Star Wars movie will contain the origin story of how Han Solo met Chewbacca, according to an official movie synopsis released by Disney.
“Solo: A Star Wars Story,” the latest standalone film in the Star Wars saga is scheduled for release May 25, 2018. It take place prior to the original trilogy.
The synopsis reads as follows:
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Solo, Donald Glover as Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Solo’s mentor, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo and Paul Bettany.
Ron Howard directed the film after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired from the project.
