Pixar Play Parade returns to Disneyland in April with new floats

The Pixar Play Parade will be returning to to Disneyland next year as part of the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration and will be adding three new story elements, Disney has announced.

The parade features floats and characters based on the the Disney-Pixar movies. It debuted in 2008 at California Adventure and closed on August 20, 2017.

This time it returns April 13, 2018, at Disneyland and will start off with the iconic Pixar Lamp. Ahead of the lamp will be the famous yellow Pixar Ball.

Also joining the parade will be character from “Up.” Wilderness Explorer Russell wth the colorful flightless bird, Kevin, and  Carl Fredricksen and Dug following behind amid green foliage and snipe chicks, with Carl’s tethered house floating above.

 

Characters from “Inside Out” will also be joining the parade.  Perched atop colorful memory orbs, Joy and Sadness take flight aboard Bing Bong’s rocket wagon, with Bing Bong himself.
