First look at new scene being added to Star Tours

Disney has released a sneak peek photo of one of the new scenes in the upcoming revamped Star Tours – The Adventure Continue that will be unveiled Nov. 17, 2017.

The artists rendering shows fighting on Crait, which is being highlighted in the new “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” film that is scheduled for released on Dec. 15, 2017.

This is only one of the new scenes which will be shown on the simulator ride. There will also be another change coming to the attraction.

Starting Nov. 17, the only characters to be seen at the attraction at Disneyland and Hollywood Studios will be from the latest Star Wars trilogy, WDW News Today reports.

The characters from the first six movies and those from the latest trilogy will not mix in the adventures being shown on Star Tours. So don’t expect Jar Jar Binks to mix with BB-8. The reasoning, according to WDW, is confusion of mixing characters from various eras.

There is some talk that in the future guests will be able to go on adventures with the characters from episodes 1 to 6, or from the current movies, episodes 7 to 8.
