The campground, which hosts about 800 campsites and 409 cabins was closed Sept. 9, 2017 to give people enough time to move their trailers from the resort.
Downed trees and widespread debris needed to be cleared and removed before the resort could reopen.
Rumors and hoaxes on the internet claimed the resort would never reopen, but early this morning the resort opened complete with a Walt Disney World Ambassador cutting a ceremonial ribbon.
There was even a procession through the campground and Chip and Dale showed up to greet people as they came into the campground.
