Where the new entrance to Toy Story Land will be located

Demolition to create the entryway to the new Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios in Disney World is underway.

The soundstage building next to Walt Disney Presents and the area on the side of the the current Toy Story Mania are being demolished. There will be plantings then placed on both sides and the middle will be a walkway to the new land that opens in 2018. (See the annotated photo below to help visualize this).

What is now know as the entrance to Toy Story Mania will be become the rear of Toy Story Mania. This was all explained by the people manning the Toy Story Land model at Walt Disney Presents.

The future of the section of what is called Pixar Place is unknown. The only attraction located in the building is a meet and greet with Pixar characters. Could this area become a transition ally to the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land being built now at the end of Pixar Place.

While Disney has shared a portion of the new Star Wars land at Walt Disney Presents, it has not provided a larger view for Disney World to show where entrances will be to the land. From the construction taking place, it looks as though one entrance would be to what will be the future back of Toy Story Mania, at the end of the new Grand Avenue being constructed and most likely one entrance between Toy Story land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
