Updated photos of Disney Springs construction at Disney World
Construction is still going strong at Disney Springs, the shopping and entertainment district, at Disney World.
The transformation of the former Downtown Disney will be complete by the end of this year with more than 150 shops, restaurants and other venues. Disney Imagineers created the area with a backstory and detail similar to the theme parks, resorts and cruise ships.
Many of the shops and restaurants have opened, but a few major areas are left, including new shops in a mall like area, a revamping Planet Hollywood into the Planet Hollywood Observatory, the building of a World of Coke store and a new transportation area for resort buses.
