Disney World reveals special Epcot 35th anniversary merchandise only available in the park
If you are going to be one of the lucky ones heading to Epcot on its 35th anniversary Oct. 1, 2017, you will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive “I Was There” merchandise, Disney announced.
Seven items will be released on Oct. 1 including t-shirts, a hat, an ornament, and a limited release pin. Annual Passholders will find a t-shirt created just for them. These items will be available at a special “pop-up” shop located just past the Art of Disney in Future World.
“For this collection, we honored Epcot’s rich heritage by including Figment from the Journey Into Imagination attraction on all of the ‘I Was There’ items,” Cathy Dawson, merchandise product developer for events told the Disney Parks Blog. “He’s been at the park since the early days of Epcot and has delighted many guests throughout the years. This retro-inspired collection complements the other 35th anniversary merchandise guests will find all year long.
