Disney has now announced that the Jungle Cruise, which will close for refurbishment beginning the end of August will reopen in time for the winter holidays coming to Disney World.
This means that the popular ride, which will close August 26, 2024
Beginning Aug. 26, 2024, Jungle Cruise will temporarily close for refurbishment. The last day it will operate before the refurbishment is Aug. 25. This means that for the majority of the Halloween season at Disney World, which takes place Aug. 9 through Oct. 31, the attraction will not be available.
The Holiday season begins Nov. 8 at Disney World. Normally this time of year, the attraction is re-themed into the Jingle Cruise, so we should be able to jingle all the way during the holidays.
The Jungle Cruise at Magic Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is more than just a boat ride; it’s a timeless experience steeped in Disney history. Imagineered and overseen by Walt Disney himself, the Jungle Cruise opened its rivers in 1972, becoming one of the park’s original attractions. Guests embark on a humorous expedition through simulated jungle waterways in Asia, Africa, and South America, encountering a menagerie of animatronic animals and the witty (and often groan-worthy) commentary of their skipper guides.
