Stitch’s Great Escape ride at Disney World is changing
Is Stitch’s Great Escape closed for good?
The sign out front of Stitch’s Great Escape at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World has changed to Stitch’s Alien Encounter Character Greeting.
The attraction, which has been seasonal as of late, opening during the busy periods of the year, but otherwise closed, looks to be history.
The area, according to cast members in Tomorrowland, will be turned into a meet and great for Stitch (presumably until Disney decides what to finally do with the location). There has been no official announcements by Disney as to what is happening.
The ride was former called ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, an encounter many people thought was too intense and scare for Disney. It was redressed to house Stitch in 2004 and in September of 2016, Disney said the attraction would be operated seasonally.
Now it looks like it will be history. Normally it would have been open for the upcoming holiday season.
What new Tomorrowland attraction would you like to see in that location?
