What’s coming to Disney+ in March 2023

This is the way. “The Mandalorian” returns for a third season on Disney+ and all are looking forward to seeing what will happen now that Mando and Grogu have been re-united (that took place in “The Book of Boba Fett”).

And, as one Star Wars series season begins, another ends. Star Wars: The Batch concludes its second season in March with a two-episode finale.

In addition there a number of movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and exclusive Disney+ Originals coming in March,.

The Mandalorian – Season 3 – Episode 1

After the defeat of the Empire at the hands of Rebel forces, a lone bounty hunter operating in the Outer Rim, away from the dominion of the New Republic, goes on many surprising and risky adventures.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Season 2 – Episode 211 “Metamorphosis”

Eureka accidentally unleashes a steam geyser at her mom’s restaurant, which leads to the invention of pizza; Pepper’s pet Dipply follows her to school one day, inspiring other pets to do the same.

Voices Rising: The Music Of Wakanda Forever

Episode 2: “Mexico: Con La Brisa:

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” introduced audiences to Namor, ruler of an underwater civilization descended from an ancient Mayan community. The character provided a new cultural experience that called for a new sound. Composer Ludwig Göransson collaborates with a wide range of Mexican musicians, including a veteran musicologist, Mayan rappers from the Yucatán peninsula, and bold new female singers like Foudeqush, Vivir Quintana, and Mare Advertencia. The episode also features Tenoch Huerta Meijía, who plays Namor, as he hears the music for the first time.

Chibiverse (S1)

“Chibiverse” expands on the “Chibi Tiny Tales” animated short series, and features iconic Disney television characters in adorable “chibi-form” while they celebrate some of their best adventures. The chibi characters, which are from various franchises, get created in a lab out of the remnants of Disney characters found in a vault. Appearances include Phineas and Ferb, Cricket Green from “Big City Greebes,” Penny Proud from “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” and Sharpay Evans from “High School Musical.”

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (S1, 5 episodes)

After 13-year-old supergenius Lunella accidentally brings 10-ton Tyrannosaurus rex Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, they work together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.

Spidey and His Amazing Friends (S2, 4 episodes)

Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy join forces with Hulk, Ms Marvel and Black Panther to fight their common enemies and learn that working together as a team is the best.

Chang Can Dunk

“Chang Can Dunk” follows Chang, a 16-year-old, Asian American high school student in the marching band, who bets the school basketball star that he can dunk by Homecoming. The bet leads the 5’ 8″ Chang on a quest to find the hops he needs to dunk in order to impress his crush, Kristy, and finally gain the attention and respect of his high school peers. But before he can rise up and truly throw one down, he’ll have to reexamine everything he knows about himself, his friendships and his family.

NHL Big City Greens

The first-of-its-kind alternate presentation will leverage NHL Edge positioning data (puck and player tracking) to recreate the action on the ice as it is happening while featuring “Big City Greens” characters skating alongside animated versions of the NHL players. The real-time animation will be produced in association with ESPN Edge Innovation Center and NHL EDGE Innovation partners Verizon, Beyond Sports and Silver Spoon.

ESPN commentators will call the action for the “NHL Big City Greens Classic,” and “Big City Greens” talent, including the Houghton brothers and Marieve Herington (the voice of Tilly), will also be featured in the presentation.

The first-ever live, animated NHL game telecast, featuring the Washington Capitals vs. New York Rangers, on March 14, 2023 at 7 p.m. EDT.

Voices Rising: The Music Of Wakanda Forever

Episode 3: “London: Bring It Home”

London’s Abbey Road is one of the most iconic recording studios in the world. Late in the summer of 2022, an international team of musicians and engineers led by Ludwig Göransson descend on the studio for 10 days to record the score for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Göransson works with modern recording artists like Jorja Smith and Burna Boy, putting the finishing touches on the score and soundtrack. The episode also features Letitia Wright, who reflects on the score and its role in the film’s extraordinary reception.

Prom Pact

“Prom Pact,” from Disney Branded Television, takes place at the height of prom season, and high school senior Mandy Yang and her best friend and fellow outsider Ben are surrounded by over-the-top ’80s-themed promposals. However, Mandy keeps her eyes focused on a different goal: her lifelong dream of attending Harvard. When she finds out that she has been put on the waitlist, she is determined to do whatever she can do to get herself accepted, even if that means asking for help from the one person she abhors ― popular all-star jock Graham Lansing, whose father is a powerful senator and Harvard alum. Once Mandy becomes Graham’s tutor, she begins to realize there’s more to him than she thought and perhaps something more to life than Harvard.
