Pre-shows, single rider lines return to Walt Disney World
Things are looking a lot more back to pre-pandemic normal at Walt Disney World with the return of more pre-shows, single rider lines and fireworks returning on July 1.
This is happening as all of the plexiglass and seat separators on rides have been removed. In addition, those empty seats next to you will now be filled with people not in your party.
Whether you ride Kilimanjaro Safaris, the Jungle Cruise, Na’vi River Journey or even Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, all of the plexiglass has been removed and all seats are being filled.
When standing in line, the phrase “Please fill all space in front of you” from Cast Members has returned, so we can now forget about physical distancing.
Here’s a look at some of the pre-shows that have returned as of today:
- The movie, complete with (we’re not going to say) at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios has returned.
- The stretching room in the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom is back. You still need to find your own way out.
- Rod Serling is back at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios.
- Aerosmith returns at the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Hollywood Studios. Do these guys ever age?
- The Design Station at Test Track in the pre-show area.
- At Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom, you no longer walk through the pre-show area with the movie playing, you now stand in the pre-show room to watch the movie.
Here’s a look at the single rider lines:
There are only four attractions at Walt Disney World that have single rider lines. At this point, Test Track at EPCOT with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, both at Hollywood Studios have single rider lines open. Expedition Everest has not yet opened.
