Disney fans plan vigil to support #OrlandoStrong at Magic Kingdom on June 18

A group of Disney fans are coordinating a vigil for Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Magic Kingdom to show their support in light of the Orlando shooting.

The group proposes meeting at The Partners Statue, located in front of the Cinderella Castle, to watch the Kiss Goodnight at 11:30 p.m.

The Disney Community #OrandoStrong vigil  is an unofficial event, not sponsored by the Walt Disney Company. The Kiss Goodnight is an after park closing music and castle show that is played every night.

According to the Facebook post, “This is a meet up, not an event, and is free and open for all. But yes, you will need park admission. This event was mainly organized for the many regular visitors of the Disney Parks. Other vigils are planned throughout Orlando if you can’t attend this one.”

Candles are not encouraged inside the park. The organizers are encouraging the use of the candle app on the smartphone, according to the Facebook page.
