Disney delaying release of ‘Mulan’ and 2 other films due to coronavirus
Disney says it is pulling three films from their scheduled release date, including the live-action “Mulan,” due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Mulan,” the live-action remake of the 1998 hit film was set to open on March 27.
“The New Mutants,” part of the X-Men franchise from 20th Century was supposed to open April 3 and “Antlers: from Fox Searchlight was scheduled to open on April 17.
No new dates have been set for release, but there is a belief they will be coming out later this year.
Other movie studios – such as MGM with “No Time To Die” and Sony with “Peter Rabbit 2”- have previously announced they were pushing back release dates due to the COVID-19.
Earlier today, Disney announced that the Disneyland Resort will be closing for two weeks, due to COVID-19 concerns.
