“Blank” collectible with an eye-popping price tag
The Disney Store online has listed a very limited-edition collectible for the new short film “Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story”:
One pair of 3-foot Blank and Bow Vinylmations, autographed by the filmmakers, is selling for $14,000.
The figures will be signed on the back of the ears by: Mike Ambs (Director, Cinematographer), Alfonso Estrada (Animator), Paul Foyder (Director, Editor, Sound Designer), Matthew Manning (Lead Animator), Alfred Montejano (Composer), Gino Roy (Director, Production Designer), Greg Shewchuk (Director, Writer, Co-Producer), Whitfield Scheidegger (Director, Cinematographer), Matt Wyatt (Producer), and Thomas Scott (Vinylmation Designer)
Disney also is selling up to 10 unsigned sets of the super-sized figures for a mere $13,000 per pair.
A limited run of 50 3-inch sets, selling for $75, is already sold out.
The limited-edition figures are available now through Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Disney Store online.
The 38-minute short film, which debuted online this week, is the story of Blank, an unpainted Vinylmation who goes on a quest to find his lost soul mate. “Blank” is available free through Google Play until Feb. 23, after which it will be available on other platforms.
