Disney teases Guardians of Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind announcement

In what now appears to becoming commonplace for Disney, the theme-park giant teased on social media today that an apparent announcement is coming Monday, April 4 about the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction under construction at Disney World.

Using the Ohio Players’ 1975 song “Love Rollercoaster” the video starts off with the Awesome Mix. Vol. Cosmic Reward cassette in a player rewinding and the type changing on the cassette to Monday.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind being built in EPCOT is being touted as one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world and will be the first-ever reverse launch of a Disney coaster.

Disney might be making its official opening day announcement, just months after an accidental social media post by a Disney exec stated it should open on Memorial Day weekend. It could also be releasing what other music is on the cassette, which would also be cool, but unlikely.

The attraction starts with a tour at the Wonders of Xandar and the Galaxarium, a planetarium-like exhibition showcasing the similarities and differences between Xandar and Earth’s galaxies. You’ll even get to discover some of the incredible wonders of Xandar and learn about their technology.

Just as you are about to reach the culmination of the tour, everything goes sideways, and you are called into action to help the Guardians of the Galaxy.
