runDisney offers update on April’s Star Wars Run Rival Weekend
Disney is alerting all those who signed up to run in the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon during the Star Wars Rival Run Weekend at Disney World in April to hold tight for further information.
In e-mails and on a message posted on its website, runDisney states:
“In an abundance of caution, we have previously announced the closure of our theme parks and hotels and other guest offerings. Regarding the Star Wars Rival Run Weekend, we continue to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation and are in regular contact with state and local authorities and health agencies. We will share updates about the race weekend here. Please continue to check back and visit CDC.gov for the most up-to-date information on COVID-19.”
They encourage runners to send them an email or call them with any questions.
Disney has stated that the resort will remain closed until April 1, however, guidelines from the CDC and state make it seem more likely the resort will open at a later time.
