9 aerial photos of Star Wars land under construction at Disney World
Here’s an aerial update on the construction taking place at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios at Disney World.
From above, details are starting to show at the new 14-acre land. The land is based on the Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu. The Disney World version will open in Fall 20198. The Disneyland version is said to be opening in June.
In this immersive land Star Wars characters and their stories will come to life. The main entrance to the area is from the new Grand Avenue area of Hollywood Studios. Another entrance will be from the new Toy Story Land. Two major attractions anchor the new land. On one ride you fly the Millennium Falcon on an adventure. The second attraction puts you in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
Here’s the February look from @bioreconstruct who does a phenomenal job documenting the ongoing theme park construction around Orlando. (Many thanks for letting us share these photos.) You can also see views of the Magic Kingdom and Tron construction as well.
