Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge sneak peek during ABC’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade special

The annual Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade on ABC will have more than the holiday musical performances and snippets of the holidays from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and other parks.

This year’s show will have a special look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new Star Wars land coming in 2019 to both Disneyland Hollywood Studios at Disney World.

The Disneyland version is scheduled for summer 2019 and the Disney World version is scheduled to open in late fall 2019.

The land will have full-size replicas of X-wing fighters, feature a toy store that sells toys from far away places, a bar that sells various types of colored milk to drink, and the entire spaceport area will have a feel that there is danger at every turn.

This immersive 14-acre area is being built on the planet of Batuu, where Star Wars characters and their stories will come to life.

There will be two attractions. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will be place guests behind the controls of the Millennium. Each crew of four will have specific tasks as the crew goes on a mission. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will put guests in the middle of a fight between the First Order and the Resistance.

The show will be on Christmas morning, Dec. 25 from 10 a.m. to Noon ET and 9 to 11 a.m. CT/MT/PT.
