Broadway’s ‘Frozen’ will go on national tour in 2019

The new Broadway musical “Frozen” will be heading on to a North American tour starting in the fall of 2019.

The musical, based on the 2013 hit movie will start off in Schenectady, New York with an official opening planned for The Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. The remainder of cities and dates have not yet been announced.

Frozen opened on Broadway at the St. James Theatre in March and has three Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score Written for the Theatre. The Tony Awards are on June 10

“Frozen” will be the third Disney production on tour. The others are “The Lion King” and “Aladdin.”
