One of the highlights of walking around any of the theme parks is the background music playing.
Recently Disney World was full of Christmas music. Previously, Hollywood Studios would play classic movie music throughout the park. But things are changing.
The future of the parks is to feel immersed into your surroundings. This includes the background music.
An in an effort to “make you feel as if you’ve walked right into your very own adventure,” as Disney puts it, Disney has changed the music loops to be better associated with the areas of the park, starting Jan. 11, 2018.
Main Entrance: Big Band arrangements of Disney tunes will greet you.
Hollywood Boulevard: Big Band instrumental arrangements of popular
songs from the 1930s and 1940s will be played.
Sunset Boulevard: This section will include vocal tracks from similar Big Band songs played on Hollywood Boulevard.
Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster courtyard: Live versions of classic rock songs by the the original artists will be combined with crown noises to simulate a live concert.
Echo Lake: The Big Band sound arrangements move from the 1930s and 1940s to 1950s and 1960s with horns and string arrangements.
Grand Avenue: This started when Grand Avenue debuted and is one of my favorite listening areas. Inspired by present-day Downtown Los Angeles, the music o includes retro-contemporary west coast funk sounds. But the best part is he combination of traffic noises and children playing.
Baseline Tap House: Covers of pop songs fill the air. This also started when the establishment opened.
