Disneyland provides details of Main Street, U.S.A., Dumbo refurbishments

Disneyland will be ripping up Main Street, U.S.A. to replace the entire horse-drawn streetcar rack and also temporarily close Dumbo the Flying Elephant has part of two refurbishment to original Disneyland attractions.

The vehicles on Main Street and Dumbo will close Jan. 8, 2018.

The track replacement on Main Street will incorporate new brickwork. Parts of the original track will be salvaged and preserved. Previously updated pieces will be recycled, according to the Disney Parks Blog. This should be complete by late winter.

Work on Dumbo, includes moving the queue location and building a new shade structure. The ride will also get a fresh paint job. This work should be complete by early Spring.
