Disney World changing security procedures at Magic Kingdom starting April 3

Disney World is changing where many guests will go through bag check and metal detectors to enter the Magic Kingdom.

Instead of entering immediately before the ticket entrance most people will now get their bags checked and go through metal detectors at the Transportation and Ticket Center starting April 3, 2017, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

Those driving and hen taking either the monorail or the ferry across the Seven Seas Lagoon will get checked before boarding the transportation.

Those staying in Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts will go through security at the resorts’ monorail stations.

Those going to the Magic Kingdom by bus from the other resorts, or those walking from the Contemporary Resort will still go through the security checkpoints right outside the Magic Kingdom.
