Woman arrested for leaving toddler in hot car at Grand Floridian at Disney World

UPDATE NOTE:  Disney housekeeper left child in car while seeking time off to watch the child, authorities say

A 2-year-old girl was found alone in a car Monday afternoon in a Grand Floridian parking lot at Disney World, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl was found about 1 p.m. in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa employee parking lot by Walt Disney Security, according to the sheriff’s office.
The car was turned off, the doors were unlocked and the windows were rolled down a few inches, Ingrid Tejada-Monforte, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, told the Orlando Sentinel.
Authorities did not say how long the girl was in the vehicle. The child’s 37-year-old caregiver was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and taken to the Orange County Jail. She is related to the child’s mother.
The girl was taken to Florida Hospital Celebration Health, where she was in stable condition, authorities reported.
