Disneyland, Disney World attractions permanently closed in 2018

It is that time of year again to look back and reflect upon all of the rides and attractions at Disneyland and Disney World that are no longer with us.

Change is a constant and while some of the shows and attractions might return in a new format or theme, we will forever remember the sights and sounds that made us smile, or infuriated us.

So, let’s pour out a little Dole Whip out (very little since the price increase) and remember fondly (or be thankful) these attractions that are gone.

Walt Disney World

The Circle of Life:  Closed February 4, 2018 – The Circle of Life opened Jan. 25, 1998 in the Land Pavilion in Epcot. It started with Timon and Pumbaa from “The Lion King” cutting down trees to build the Hakuna Matata Lakeside Village. Simba steps in to remind them that nature, while majestic, is also very fragile: Hakuna matata may be a good philosophy for everyday situations, but choosing not to worry about our planet could spell disaster. The space will be used by Disney Performing Arts for student workshops and performance
