Disney World debuting SpectacuLAB at Epcot in November
A new interactive show called SpectacuLAB is coming to Innoventions at Epcot next month.
Disney has teamed up with Murata Manufacturing to create a show which will have interactive and experiments to show how technologies come together to create consumer products such as mobile devices, healthcare equipment and automotive electronics, according to a Murata.
“The SpectacuLAB will spark the intellectual curiosity of children and adults alike,” said Tsuneo Murata, President of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd, which designs and manufactures electronic components. “We are excited to share this with guests visiting Epcot at Walt Disney World.”
Murata worked with Disney Parks Live Entertainment and Science from Scientists, a group which aims to promote STEM literacy in schools, to develop interactive, in-classroom experiments presented by real scientists.
No specific date for the opening has been announced other than it will open in November.
This will join Colortopia as the only other attraction inside Innoventions. Every other show or demonstration has been closed. The former Innoventions West Side was turned into the Epcot Character Meet and Great in 2015.
