Not only is “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” expected to be a global event, but so is the merchandising. Sept. 4, 2015 has been dubbed “Force Friday,” starwars.com announced. This is the day for the launch of merchandise associated with the seventh film in the series.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens packaging highlights the much buzzed about masked villain of the film, Kylo Ren.
“Every lightsaber, every action figure, every LEGO set tells a story for generations of Star Wars fans, and this global event is a celebration of those stories. We’re excited to be part of the countdown to this enormous movie moment,” Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, Disney Consumer Products, said in a news release.
