Shanghai Disney plants special tree

The horticulture team at Shanghai Disney Resort has hit a milestone this past week, according to Disney.

The team has planted an 18 meter tall Chinese Chestnut Oak (Quercus chenii) in its new permanent home in Shanghai Disneyland’s Treasure Cove theme land. The tree can grow to over 30 meters tall in the theme park’s Pirates-themed land.

The team will plant over 1,000 trees in the new land.
