Carolwood Society holding special presentation near Disney World

The Carolwood Society will hold an afternoon event, “From Carolwood to Canyonville” in Celebration, Fla., featuring Michael Broggie, founder and historian of the Carolwood Society and Tony Anselmo, the voice of Donald Duck.

The pair will share how Walt Disney’s interests in miniature live steam railroading inspired animators of the day to create the Donald Duck short cartoon, “Out of Scale.”

The Carolwood Society’s mission is to preserve Walt Disney’s railroad legacy through its members’ love of railroading, teaching children to understand the role that railroads served in building the U.S. and encourage the continual appreciation of railroading.

This event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Artisan Park Clubhouse in Celebration, Fla.

Tickets for this special and limited attendance event are $30 for General Admission and $50 for VIP (includes reserved seating followed by a reception with the presenters). Tickets can be obtained here.

General Admission tickets will also include available seating, access to merchandise tables and participation in a silent auction of artwork created by Carolwood Society members.

Premium tickets augment the general admission ticket with priority seating plus a VIP reception with the presenters and special guests after the presentation with appetizers and a cash bar.  Those who purchase a premium ticket must be at least 21 years of age to attend the VIP reception.
