Disney sets closing date for Disneyland’s Tower of Terror

Disneyland will close the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at California Adventure on Jan. 2, 2016, Disney announced.

The adventure Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will take the place of the ride and will open the summer of 2017.

Prior to the attraction’s closing Disney will hold several tributes. Starting Sept. 9, 2016 gusts will ride the elevator shaft in the complete darkness according to the Orange County Register.
