Julian Edelman and Malcolm Butler head to Disneyland to celebrate Patriots win

New England Patriots players Julian Edelman (left) and

celebrated their team’s Super Bowl XLIX championship
victory at Disneyland.

Tom Brady may have been name the Super Bowl MVP but it was New England Patriots players Julian Edelman and Malcolm Butler who joined the elite group to utter the famous words, “I’m going to Disneyland/Disney World.”

Edelman and rookie cornerback Butler had key plays in the Patriots 28-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Edelman caught a 3-yard touchdown pass with 2:02 left in the game to give the Patriots the lead. Then, with 20 seconds to play Butler intercepted a pass on the goal line to seal the victory. Edelman’s touchdown catch was one of his nine receptions in the game, for 109 yards.

The two men on Monday headed to Disneyland and drove down Main Street with Mickey Mouse to applause.

Butler said he enjoyed his first visit to Disneyland and the parade. Edelman who has been the to park before said that seeing it this way after winning a Super Bowl was special.
The commercial both were in aired aired Monday morning and is the 48th in a series that began in 1987 following Super Bowl XXI featuring New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms.  Here’s a list of all the people who have been in the spot.
