Magic Kingdom construction to impact main entrance area

The construction taking place around Walt Disney World to improve the guest experience as they enter the parks will now have an impact on the main entrance of the Magic Kingdom.

We have seen such work that focuses on improving the security areas at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation Center. All of those areas are currently under construction.

Now, the work will be taking place at the Magic Kingdom entrance starting the week of July 29 and will impact guests in these ways:

Bus loop security moving: The current screening area resort guests use when exiting the buses will be repositioned due to barricades being erected.

West Boat Dock: The dock, which is the place for the boats to the Grand Floridian Resort and the Polynesian Village Resort, will be closed as construction takes place. All resort watercraft will use the dock located between the monorail station and the ferryboat landing during.
