Disney World,  rides, restaurants closed for refurbishment, February 2022 

Winter has come to Walt Disney World and that usually means refurbishment of some large attractions and water attractions.

While there is some closure of big ticket rides, there are a very limited number of rides closed this February and actually, there are a lot of reopenings and debuts of restaurants and attractions coming in February. There are also still a handful of attractions and store that have never reopened since initially closing in March 2020.

Here’s a look at what’s still closed and a few areas closed for refurbishment. Don’t forget to check the Walt Disney World site for the latest updates.

MAGIC KINGDOM

ATTRACTIONS

• Enchanted Tales with Belle – Closed no announcement yet when it will reopen
• Walt Disney World Railroad – Closed during the construction of the new Tron attraction being built. The trains and tracks are being refurbished. There is no reopening date announced. Most likely sometime in 2022.
• Splash Mountain – Closed for refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen on Feb. 11.
• Big Thunder Mountain is scheduled to close on Feb. 14 and is scheduled to reopen Feb. 19.
