11 big things happening at Disney World this November
We are now entering our most favorite time of year at Disney World – the holiday season.
The yuletide feeling blankets the resort with shows and special attractions and some special magic. This month will feature some new shows, new fireworks, a new restaurant and some special announcements.
Here’s a look at what’s coming this November.
Nov. 2: The Frozen Holiday Wish castle-lighting ceremony debuts for the season. The 10-minute show features Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff, and ends with over 200,000 LEDs lighting up the castle.
Nov. 4: A new projection show debuts on the Cinderella Castle the Magic Kingdom. The “Once Upon a Time” show features classic Disney fairy tales and is narrated by Mrs. Potts from “Beauty and the Beast” who share “once upon a time” bedtime stories with Chip. The castle opens up like a story book with projected scenes from classics such as Peter Pan flying above the rooftops of London to Never Land, a whimsical tea party hosted by the Mad Hatter and Winnie the Pooh rising to the top of the Castle while he hangs from a colorful balloon.
Nov. 5: The sneak peek of “Moana” opens at Hollywood Studios. The preview will be part of the One Man’s Dream attraction at Hollywood Studios.
Nov. 7: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off. This special ticketed event at the Magic Kingdom offers special shows not seen at other times, a parade and a night time filled with a a lot less guests than normal.
Nov. 14: The new Christmas event, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” spectacular begins at Hollywood Studios. The show is similar to the current Star Wars: Galactic Spectacular combining projections, special effects and fireworks set to a seasonal musical score.
Nov. 16: PizzeRizzo opens at Hollywood Studios. The restaurant, a owned by Rizzo the Rat (after all what else would a New York rat own other than a pizza place?), is opening in the former Toy Story Pizza Planet in Muppets Courtyard.
