PHOTOS: Demolition of DisneyQuest at Disney Springs is underway

Demolition of DisneyQuest is underway with holes in the facade of the 5-story, 100,000 square foot building and pieces of metal piled high next to the structure.

Located on the West Side of Disney Springs at Disney World, DisneyQuest closed on July 2, 2017 after operating 19 years. The building contained virtual reality games, fantasy adventure games and classic arcade games.

The area is being redeveloped into The NBA Experience. No date has been set for an opening and no specifics have been announced as to what will be contained in the NBA Experience. Disney has previously said that there will be hands-on, interactive experiences with a restaurant and a retail store.
