Opening dates announced for new Star Wars hyper-reality experience at Disney World and Disneyland

The new Star Wars hyper-reality experience will open at Disney Springs at Disney World on Dec. 16, 2017 and at Downtown Disney in Disneyland on Jan. 5, 2018.

And you can now start purchasing your tickets for Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire now at The VOID’s website.

In the hyper-reality experience from Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB and The VOID, you don a headset and gear and in groups of four walk into real-time virtual reality that combines interactive sets, real-time effects and technology.

In this mission, you are under over of the budding rebellion “and your team will travel to the molten planet of Mustafar. Your mission is to recover Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival. Alongside the pragmatic droid K-2S0, your team must navigate through an enemy facility walking into danger at every turn. Disguised as stormtroopers, grab your blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters in an effort to fulfill your team’s orders.”
