Tree of Life nighttime experience at Animal Kingdom is magical (Photos)

Disney has a been using projection mapping on buildings for a half dozen years. Normally they are used with a pounding sing-along soundtrack. The one introduced last year at the Animal Kingdom is told in more hushed tones.

Every 10 minutes or so, the Tree of Life awakens, either with the carved animals on the tree magically coming to life or short tales of the forests being told.

Some of the tales include, a young doe embarking n a journey, a love story between a pair of hummingbirds and a fox spreading gifts in a wintry forest.

The show is best viewed directly in front of the Tree of Life. It is a very small and concentrated area and it is made a lot tougher as people take photos and videos of the tree. But this is something worth sticking around for as the park closes.
