Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge to Feature ‘Pocahontas’ Design, Fireworks Lounge

Walt Disney Imagineering released a preview of the lobby design and four new dining and lounge spaces set to debut at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge when the Bay Lake resort opens in summer 2027.

The resort’s lobby will feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking “The Wetlands” outdoor recreation area. Design elements inspired by the 1995 animated film Pocahontas include a fiberoptic floor design resembling a river, a blown-glass leaf sculpture suspended overhead, custom tapestries, and river-recovered cypress wood accents.

Disney outlined details for three new food and beverage locations alongside a nighttime lounge:

  • Moonglade: A lakefront, table-service restaurant featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients served against floor-to-ceiling views of Bay Lake.
  • Bay Lake Provisions: An all-day, quick-service marketplace offering specialty coffees, open-kitchen dining, and subtle artistic references to classic Disney woodland characters.
  • Paint Out Point Bar & Grill: A poolside venue located near the Lakeshore Lagoon and The Wetlands, featuring shareable plates, specialty drinks, and plein-air artwork created by Disney Imagineers.
  • Dandelion Terrace: A nighttime lounge offering views of the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks across Bay Lake. The space will feature a two-story gallery of archival Disney artwork—including pieces from Fantasia—along with custom dandelion-themed light fixtures.

Disney has not yet announced an exact opening date for the resort beyond the summer 2027 timeframe.
