Springtime Surprise 2026 races features iconic Disney pairs

Get ready to lace up those sneakers and grab your favorite running buddy, because the 2026 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is set to bring a magical celebration of friendship to Walt Disney World Resort from April 16-20.

This year’s highly anticipated event is all about the power of companionship, featuring unforgettable Disney duos as its central theme. Participants, whether running alongside their partner-in-crime or channeling their inner favorite character solo, can expect a weekend brimming with surprises, smiles, and shared memories that extend far beyond the finish line.

Beyond the exhilaration of the races, attendees will be treated to rare character sightings, themed entertainment, and even a relaxing yoga session – with whispers that everyone’s favorite mischievous alien, Stitch, might just make an appearance! The Springtime Surprise Weekend promises to be an experience where camaraderie, courage, and a whole lot of heart come together.

Registration for Gold & Platinum Members is| July 22. General registration begins on July 29 at 10 a.m.

Here is a first look at the individual theme events:

runDisney Springtime Surprise 5K
On April 17, hop into action for 3.1 miles of fun! Just watch out—you might catch the attention of Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. No promises on carrots at the finish line, but the adventure is guaranteed to be “hare”-raising!

runDisney Springtime Surprise 10K
On April 18, get ready to run, bounce, pounce, or trounce your way through 6.2 miles of cheerful adventure in this “hunny”-sweet 10K featuring Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too! And if you’re bounding as Pooh, please wear pants.

runDisney Springtime Surprise 10-Miler
On April 19, take a deep breath and dive into 10 miles of emotional exploration with Joy and Sadness. It’s a run that’s sure to move you—in more ways than one.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge
Rack up 19.3 miles by finishing all three races and you’ll be granted a fourth Challenge medal featuring Aladdin and Genie. But fair warning: enchanted shortcuts like magic carpets don’t count.
