Holiday filming changes Magic Kingdom entertainment Nov. 9-10

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, normally seen during the nighttime Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, will have two daytime showings in November, most likely due to holiday filming at Magic Kingdom for the ABC holiday specials.

Filming normally takes place Veterans Day weekend.

The Christmas parade will run on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at Magic Kingdom in place of the Festival of Fantasy Parade. The Festival of Fantasy Parade will return to the 2 p.m. slot on Nov. 11.

In addition to the parade, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, which is performed on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle will not take place on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10, according to the Disney World calendar. Normally during taping for the holiday specials, a larger stage is constructed in front of the Cinderalla Castle so musical performances can be recorded.

According to the calendar, Mickeys Magical Friendshp Faire performances will return at 10 a.m., 11:55 a.m., 12:55 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The scheduling is subject to change due to the holiday filming at Magic Kingdom, so make sure to check the entertainment guides when visiting.

No dates have yet been announced on when the holiday shows will be airing. Nor has there been any announcements on who will be performing.
