Aerial Photos: EPCOT ‘Harmonious’ barge being dismantled

It was only two-and-a-half years ago that we were watching as the barges were being put together for the “Harmonious” night-time show that was coming to EPCOT. Now, thanks again to @bioreconstruct, we get to see the barges being taken apart.

Disney is slowly removing the barges that have been parked in the middle of the World Showcase Lagoon for the past two years. The barges provided pyrotechnics, video screens, music and water canons for the “Harmonious” show. Now, Disney has replaced the 50th-anniversary show with “EPCOT Forever” again as a placeholder until a new show debuts in late 2023.

One barge has been removed from the lagoon, leaving four others. While guests have enjoyed the nighttime show, the barges have been considered an eyesore. Originally, the barges were supposed to provide daytime water fountain shows, but that never took place.
