Disney World reinstates daily housekeeping at deluxe resorts
Starting today, Jan. 15, Walt Disney World is reinstituting daily housekeeping service at all Walt Disney World deluxe results. This is the first time the daily service has been brought back since COVID-19 reopening.
Some deluxe resorts had already brought back the daily service but now all the deluxe location will receive daily housekeeping .
Full housekeeping service includes: making the bed, replacing towels and amenities, cleaning the bathroom, emptying the trash and recycling, and tidying the room by dusting, wiping counters, and vacuuming.
The deluxe resorts include:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club resort
All moderate and value resorts will receive full housekeeping every other day when someone is staying.
Disney Vacation Club Members staying at a DVC resorts will continue to receive housekeeping service based on their length of stay. Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests may purchase additional housekeeping services by visiting the front desk or contacting housekeeping via their in-room phone.
Guests may still choose to decline housekeeping service at any time during their stay by opting out during the online check-in process, speaking with a Cast Member, or by placing the “room occupied” sign on their Guest room door.
