Minnie Mouse returning to Town Square, Star Wars Launch Bay reopening

A number of character interactions are returning this July to Disney World, including the return of the meet and greet with Minnie Mouse in the Magic Kingdom, the return of Fantasyland characters and the reopening of the Star Wars Launch Bay.

Starting on July 6, the iconic Minnie Mouse will join Mickey Mouse in Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom. Both will be ready for hugs and photos in their EARidescent fashions designed specifically for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration.

Also on July 6, the Chip ‘N Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground returns. The night starts off with roasting marshmallows and a sing-along to old-time favorites led by a guitar-playing cowboy as Chip ‘n Dale visit for photos and autographs. After the cowboy sing-along, you cozy up for a classic Disney movie in a theater under the stars.

On July 20, Peter Pan and Snow White return to Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom to greet guests.

Over at Hollywood Studios on July 17, Star Wars Launch Bay returns. When it reopens guests will be able to embrace with Chewbacca, a face-to-droid encounter with BB-8 or a run-in with Darth Vader.

More characters are expected to return in the coming months. At Magic Kingdom, Aladdin, Jasmine, Merida, Pooh, Tigger and Storybook Circus pals like The Great Goofini in Pete’s Silly Sideshow will be coming back.

At Hollywood Studios, some of the toys will be returning to Toy Story Land and at Animal Kingdom, Donald Duck and friends will rejoin their prehistoric party at “Donald’s Dino-Bash!” in DinoLand U.S.A.
