Disneyland reveals info on the return of Rivers of America attractions
Disneyland is planning to re-open the Rivers of America attractions sometime this summer and will have a few changes.
The attractions, the Disneyland Railroad, Fantasmic!, Mark Twain Riverboat and Sailing Ship Columbia, Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island and the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, were closed on Jan. 11, 2016 as construction of the new Star Wars Land began. The river banks have been altered to fit in the new land.
The new north bank of the Rivers of America will feature a new waterfront and an elevated trestle which will carry the Disneyland Railroad.
The Rivers of America will continue to celebrate the Mississippi, Columbia, Missouri and Rio Grande rivers and is adding a new section. The Columbia Gorge section highlights five waterfalls, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

The falls will be visible from the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes and the Disneyland Railroad.
According to the blog, the Indian Village is placed in a new location and will include a more prominently featured Shaman, seen telling the story of how the hummingbird taught the Indian chief to make a flute.
No specific date for the re-opening has yet been announced.
