Character meet and greet now called ‘sighting’ at Disney World
Disney has changed the terminology of what will happen when Disney characters start returning in November at Walt Disney World for a little more individualized meetings with guests.
The meet and greet experience is now being called “sightings.” Guests have been able to see characters around the parks either in cavalcades or in areas where guests could not get physically close to the characters. But in November, Disney has said it is bringing back modified meetings where you will still not be able to hugs or get autographs just yet.
Those interactions are now being called “sighting”.
The sightings that will return next month include:
- Sighting with Mickey at Town Square Theater
- Sighting with Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall
- Sighting with Cinderella at Princess Fairytale Hall
- Sighting in Red Carpet Dreams (Minnie Mouse)
What the experience will include has not yet been announced, but with these experiences taking place inside still expect to wear a face covering and be some distance away from the characters.
