Want to see the craziest souvenir of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary?
It’s a $500 limited edition gift box, full of more than a dozen vintage-style collectibles, from pins and reproductions to an Orange bird snow globe.
Disney will sell only 2,000 of these gift boxes (you can pick it up here), and each item in the box also is limited to 2,000. They are available for pre-order and are expected to be ready for shipping by the end of the year (but not, it seems, in time for Christmas).
So if you’re looking for a gift for the Disney fan who has everything — or maybe you did something you really need to apologize for — look no further.
What makes this box worth $500, if indeed it is worth that? It’s more of an experience, as so many Disney things are. You open the case to reveal a video greeting on an MP4 video screen (fully charged and ready for viewing) …
… and a pop-up Cinderella castle dressed for the 50th anniversary. A second level contains nostalgic items, including a reproduction license plate, ticket booklet (remember E tickets?) and a 1,000 piece “Florida Project” puzzle.
The third level stores souvenirs, including Minnie Mouse ears, pins, and a Partners lanyard.

- Magic Kingdom reproduction ticket book (with A-E attraction tickets, though Disney is careful to note these tickets are “non valid” with “no actual ticket value.”)

- Set of eight postcards in a booklet featuring photos of Disney World through the years
