Video: Maleficent prowls the night at Disney After Hours Boo Bash

The Maleficent Dragon has returned – at least briefly for Disney After Hours Boo Bash.

The 53 feet long – from snout to tail – Steampunk-inspired Maleficent Dragon doesn’t really come out anymore. The fiery dragon was a key fixture in the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom. But that hasn’t been seen since the start of the pandemic.

And then, she has been brought out at night during Disney Afters Villains event, but now she returns for Halloween, prowling the streets spewing fire. However, there are times, her throat gets a bit sore and the flames may not always come out. Such was the case last night in a section of the Maleficent’s Fiery Maleficent Prowl Cavalcade during the event.

This is one of four cavalcades taking place during Disney After Hours Boo Bash taking place on select nights at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World from Aug. 10 through Oct. 31.

The other cavalcades include Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade, Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade, and Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade.
