Joe Gardner from ‘Soul’ is part of Disney Fab 50 Character Collection

The next character added to the Disney Fab 50 Characters Collection coming to Walt Disney World for its 50th anniversary is from Disney-Pixar’s “Soul.”

The film’s co-directors Pete Docter and Kemp Powers revealed that Joe Gardner has been chosen. His golden statue, depicting him playing the piano, will be seen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting Oct. 1 for the 18-month “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”

In addition to Joe Gardner, the following characters have been announced:

• Mickey Mouse
• Goofy
• Timon and Pumbaa
• Lumiere and Cogsworth
• Daisy Duck
• Winnie the Pooh and Piglet
• Edna Mode
• Dante

More character sculptures will be announced in the upcoming weeks by Disney friends, including Walt Disney World, Disney+, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, D23, Disney Channel, NatGeoTV, Disney Vacation Club and more.
