PHOTOS: Baby gorilla born at Animal Kingdom on July 13

Another baby has been born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week. A baby western lowland gorilla was born on Tuesday, July 13.

The infant is now spending some time with its mom and bonding, Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment department reported on its Facebook page.

Gorilla mom Azizi welcomed her infant backstage Tuesday afternoon. She later introduced the baby to the entire family troop and had the chance to bond onstage at Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.

Azizi and the baby’s father Gino, are also the proud parents to the infant’s big brother Cory, who was born in 2014.

One day earlier, on Monday, July 12, a Nile hippopotamus calf was born at the park to parents Tuma and Henry.

At this rate, who knows what’s going to be announced tomorrow?
