All-Star Movies Resort getting a slight update

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort check-in area will be getting a bit of an update this summer and fall.

Starting July 12, 2021 and lasting through mid October 2021, work will be taking place around the check-in area. The World Premiere Food Court and Donald’s Double Feature gift shop will remain open during the refurbishment.

The All-Star Movies is currently the only one of the Disney’s All-Star Resorts open. Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort remain closed, and the amenities at those two closed Disney Resort hotels are not available.

Here’s a look at the other refurbishments taking place at other Disney resorts:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas: From January through April 2022, the Samawati Springs Pool in Kidani Village will be closed for refurbishment. Guests of Kidani Village may use the Uzima Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort: Room refurbishment to an Incredibles-inspired theme continues in the main building. The Wave restaurant closes from July 16 through Sept. 30, 2021 for refurbishment.

Disney’s Old Key West: Lobby refurbishment began in June. It is unknown when it will reopen. Guests are checking in as normal in the main lobby while the den area is closed. In Phase 2, the main lobby will close and front desk and concierge will temporarily move to the den.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort: The hotel area reopens July 19, however, the monorail station will remain closed and work still needs to be complete in the Great Ceremonial House. When those will be complete is unknown. The resort is going through a major renovation with the monorail station, Great Ceremonial House and rooms receiving a Moana-retheming.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs: The lobby and Porte Cochere areas are currently under refurbishment. The hallways to the main lobby will are closed. From July 12 through September, the Porte Cochere will be closed. In early August, the connect hallway will open and the Main Lobby will close.
