‘The Lion King,’ ‘Aladdin’ set Broadway return dates for September 2021
Two of Disney’s Broadway shows will be among the first shows to resume performances this September with some added flexible ticket benefits.
Tickets are now on sale for “The Lion King,” returning to Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre on Sept. 14, 2021, and “Aladdin” returning at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Sept. 28, 2021.
Disney is also offering the following benefits:
- Disney will pay 100 percent of Ticketmaster service and order fees for guests, who will pay only the ticket face value for performances through August 7, 2022.
- Guests will have the freedom to exchange or even cancel tickets at no charge up to and including the day of the performance.
- Disney is also introducing Double the Magic, a two-show package that offers the greatest savings with tickets for both shows starting at $149 total.

The New Amsterdam and Minskoff Theatres will follow New York State and CDC guidelines. As public health conditions and the State’s guidance for performing arts and live entertainment change, the theatres will remain flexible and adapt to applicable health protocols, such as face coverings, health screening, enhanced air filtration and ventilation and rigorous cleaning and disinfection.

In addition, the North American tours of “The Lion King” and “Frozen” and international productions of five titles will be among the 20+ Disney Theatrical productions resuming performances in nine countries on four continents in 2021.
